Mia Maestro, an Argentine singer/actress, was born on 19 June 1978. Her appearances include Nadia Santos in The Strain and Nora Martinez in The Strain. She was also in the role of Carmen in Frida. Marianela is featured in For Love or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story. Early life and career Maestro was born in Buenos Aires, 19 June 1978. Maestro made her debut on screen in the film of Carlos Saura's Tango. Maestro received Academy Award nominations and Golden Globe nominations. Maestro was born in Argentina and was educated in Argentina. Then she went to Berlin to study the repertoire of vocals from Kurt Weill, Hanns Eisler and many other artists. Maestro was the first actress to appear in The Summer Trilogy, a production by Carlo Goldoni. In 1998 Maestro was cast in the role of Lulu in Frank Wedekind's Pandora's Box, San Martin Theater in her hometown of Buenos Aires. She was honored with the "Ace" Award for the Best New Artist.
